The Sioux County Conservation Board will host the first‑ever Cardboard Boat Races on Saturday, September 5th from noon to 2 p.m. at the Big Sioux Recreation Area.
Participants can build their own cardboard boats, dress in costumes, and see if their creations can make it across the course without sinking. Building rules are available at siouxcountyparks.org.
Participation is free, and admission to the park is free for both racers and spectators during the event. Pre‑registration is encouraged to help with race‑day organization.
