Program: Grab your compass! Nature Hike
In July’s Nature Nut Series, hosted by O’Brien County Conservation, we will go on a hike around the Prairie Heritage Center guided by a compass. Participants will learn how to use a compass and follow clues to go on an epic adventure. It will be a fun Saturday morning program for the whole family!
The compass guided hike will be hosted on Saturday, July 17 at the Prairie Heritage Center. We will meet in the Center at 9:30 a.m. and then head outside. This is a great program for beginners and experts of all ages and available at no cost. We ask that participants wear comfortable shoes, dress for the weather, and bring a full water bottle. Can’t make it in person? All Nature Nut series information is also posted on-line at www.prairieheritagecenter.org.
Registration is required for this event. Please register by Friday, July 16 at 4:00 p.m. For more information and to register visit www.prairieheritagecenter.org or contact naturalist, Abbie Parker, at 712-295-7200 or aparker@obriencounty.iowa.gov.
