ISU Extension and Outreach, the Sioux County Conservation Board, and local conservation experts will launch the Master Conservationist Program this fall — a five‑week blended online and in‑person series designed to help participants better understand Iowa’s natural resources, ecosystems, conservation history, and current challenges while learning practical ways to become informed stewards and community conservation leaders.
Session #1, Setting the Stage with Charcuterie, will be held Monday, August 31st from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oak Grove, Prairie Woods Nature Center. As participants enjoy a charcuterie board, they’ll explore Iowa’s conservation history, learn to read the land, and uncover the stories its diverse ecosystems tell.
