The Master Conservationist Program continues this fall through ISU Extension and Outreach, the Sioux County Conservation Board, and local conservation experts. The five‑week series blends online learning with in‑person sessions across Sioux County, helping participants deepen their understanding of Iowa’s natural resources and conservation challenges.
Session #2, Aldo Leopold and the Prairie, will be held Tuesday, September 8th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dordt Prairie. Professor Dr. Robert De Haan will guide participants through the creation of Dordt’s prairie, highlighting Aldo Leopold’s conservation legacy and the lasting impact prairie restoration has on communities.
