Northwestern College will host a piano concert on Friday, September 11th at 7:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel, featuring concert pianists Dr. Woori Kim Smith and Dr. Curtis Smith.
The duo will perform Frederic Chopin’s complete ballades and scherzos — a collection rarely presented in a single program due to its musical and technical rigor. The event is free and open to the public.
Kim Smith has studied at Seoul National University, Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, performing throughout Europe, Asia, and North America. Smith is an active chamber musician and concerto soloist, also trained at the Jacobs School and Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory.
