Sioux County Conservation will host a public input meeting on Wednesday, September 30th at 6:30 p.m. at Prairie Woods Nature Center in Hawarden.
The session will introduce the upcoming Sioux County Parks Tree Inventory and Management Plan, an urban‑forestry project focused on improving long‑term tree health, safety, diversity, and management within Oak Grove State Park, Sandy Hollow, and the Big Sioux Recreation Area.
Staff from Sioux County Conservation and Prairie Creek Environmental will outline the inventory process, discuss maintenance priorities, and gather public feedback on future tree‑planting and management decisions. Community members are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and share input.
