Alton, Iowa – A motor vehicle accident near Alton sent one to the hospital this past Friday, May 2nd.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office tells us they investigated the accident that occured on Jefferson Ave., three miles north of Alton. 21-year-old Areli Suarez of Alton, was diving a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta southbound on Jefferson Avenue when she lost control of the vehicle, entered the west ditch and rolled.
Suarez was transported by the Orange City Ambulance to Orange City Area Health for treatment of her injuries. The Volkswagen sustained approximately $4,500 in damage.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Alton Fire Department, Orange City Fire Department and the Orange City Ambulance.
