Rock Rapids, Iowa — An Alvord man has been arrested on a warrant for felony sex abuse charges.
According to a criminal complaint filed with the Lyon County Clerk of Court’s Office by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, 32-year-old Vance Metzger of Alvord is accused of forcing himself on a victim. He was arrested on Friday.
In his statement, the deputy alleges Metzger trapped his victim in a room, forced them to the ground, and told them that they could not leave without performing sex acts. It also says he physically blocked the door.
Metzger was charged with two counts of third-degree sexual abuse, a class C felony. If convicted, Metzger could face up to ten years in prison on each count. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of false imprisonment.
He faces a preliminary hearing on Monday, March 31st.
Metzger was booked into the Lyon County Jail in Rock Rapids, and was released the same day after posting a $1000 bond.
