Larchwood, Iowa — Another ATV accident on Saturday sent a Larchwood man to a Sioux Falls hospital.
Similar to the Doon accident from earlier in the day, the victim in this accident also fell from the back of the ATV.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 27th, 15-year-old Chase Thiessen was driving a 2016 Polaris Sportsman ATV southbound on Williams Street, south of Westview Street. That’s just south of Highway 9 in western Larchwood. The report says his passenger, 45-year-old Damon Langenhorst fell off the back of the ATV.
Langenhorst, who owns the ATV, was transported to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, by the Lyon County Ambulance.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says that the Larchwood Emergency Medical Service or LEMS also responded to the scene.
