Osceola County, Iowa — A Cleghorn man was arrested in Osceola County Wednesday, and charged with one felony and several misdemeanor counts following a traffic stop and brief pursuit.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says one of their deputies attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Samuel Henry Seivert of Cleghorn. Authorities say Seivert led the deputy on a brief pursuit that ended on 280th Street near Highway 59.
After an investigation, deputies say Seivert was arrested for alleged Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, a Class C Felony; Driving While Barred, an Aggravated Misdemeanor; Eluding, a Serious Misdemeanor; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Driving While Suspended, both Simple Misdemeanors. In addition, authorities say Seivert was issued citations for Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability and Careless Driving. Deputies say he was transported and booked into the Osceola County Jail where he is being held on a $14,200 bond.
