Orange City, Iowa — Sioux County Deputies who responded to the report of a disturbance in the wee hours of Tuesday (January 7th) ended up arresting a Remsen man on multiple charges.
According to a report from the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, their deputies were summoned to a residence four miles south of Orange City shortly after midnight Tuesday morning, to the report of a disturbance.
Deputies say their investigation revealed that 25-year-old Lucas Abler, of Remsen, had allegedly assaulted two victims inside the residence.
Abler was reportedly transported to the Sioux County Jail where he was charged with: Willful Injury, a Class D Felony; two counts of Assault While Displaying A Deadly Weapon, an Aggravated Misdemeanor; and Serious Assault, a Serious Misdemeanor.
Authorities say Abler was placed under arrest and transported to the Sioux County Jail. According to Sioux County’s Online Jail Records, Abler was still being held as of mid-day Tuesday.
