Sheldon, Iowa — The Grinch apparently made an appearance sometime early Christmas morning in Sheldon.
According to the Sheldon Police Department, they were called to a residence on Washington Avenue early Christmas morning to investigate an incident in which someone burglarized a motor vehicle.
The police report says the owner of the car parked in the backyard of a residence in the 500 block of Washington Avenue shortly after midnight Christmas morning, and when he went back to the car about 7:30 that morning he discovered several items missing from the vehicle.
The report lists the missing items as a Wayne State duffle bag containing assorted items of clothing including US Navy uniforms, a credit card, a Playstation 4 game console with controller, an Iowa Driver’s License, Military ID, and wallet, as well as a set of car keys. Total value of the missing items was listed as $680.00.
