Hartley Teen Taken To Hospital After Rollover Accident

Hartley, Iowa — A Hartley teen was taken to the hospital after an accident near Hartley on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 1:25 p.m., 17-year-old Tabatha Cole of Hartley was driving a 2003 GMC Yukon eastbound on the 310th Street gravel in the 6700 block, a mile north of Hartley.

The report says that Cole lost control on the gravel road and overcorrected. The vehicle spun around entering the north ditch. It overturned and came to rest on its wheels.

The Hartley Ambulance took Cole to Sanford Sheldon Hospital.

The GMC Yukon Cole was driving sustained $5000 in damages, which was enough to total the vehicle.

Cole was charged with failure to maintain control.
