Hospers Man Charged With Forgery, Theft

Orange City, Iowa — The investigation into some stolen, forged checks has resulted in the arrest of a Hospers man.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year old Mark Thomas Bylsma on a warrant for Forgery and Theft this past Saturday.

Orange City Police accuse Bylsma of stealing some checks from his estranged wife, and forging her signature on one check used to pay a bill, and a second that was used to pay for a meal.

Orange City authorities say Bylsma is charged with Forgery which is a Class D Felony, and 5th Degree Theft which is a Simple Misdemeanor.

According to the Sioux County Jail Log, Bylsma posted a $55-hundred bond, and was released pending court appearances.
