Hospers Man Jailed For Identity Theft, Forgery

Solis- BatistaHospers, Iowa — A 23-year old Hospers man faces multiple felony charges after an investigation into a tip the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office received through their Text-A-Tip program.

According to Sioux County authorities, they received a text tip that Miguel Solis-Bautista was using someone else’s identity to gain employment at Hickory Hill Farms of Hospers.

Deputies say that further investigation revealed that Solis-Bautista also had two felony warrants for his arrest, stemming from a prior identity theft case.

Solis-Bautista was arrested, and charged in the new case with Identity Theft and Forgery, both Class D felonies, and with Identity Theft and Forgery charges from the previous case, as well.

At last report, Solis-Bautista was being held at the Sioux County Jail, in Orange City, on a $10-thousand bond.
