Hull Man Faces Felony Child Endangerment Charge

Orange City, Iowa — A Hull man faces a felony charge after he allegedly drove drunk with kids in his vehicle.

According to a criminal complaint filed by the Orange City Police Department with the Sioux County Clerk of Court’s Office, 52-year-old Ramon Manzo Hernandez faces a charge of Child Endangerment, a class C felony, as well as a misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated.

The complaint alleges that an Orange City Police Officer found Manzo Hernandez driving in Orange City. It says he failed field sobriety tests, and that he did admit to drinking beer. It also says that Manzo Hernandez had three juvenile female subjects in the back seat of the Ford F150 pickup he was driving.

He was booked into jail in Orange City but was released on personal recognizance the same day. Court records indicate he has an initial appearance in the case scheduled for Tuesday, November 1st. If convicted of a class C felony, Manzo Hernandez could face up to a 10-year prison term.
