Hull Man Accused Of Sexual Contact With Minor; Facing Felony Sexual Abuse Charges

Hull, Iowa — A Hull man faces multiple sexual abuse charges after he was arrested Saturday afternoon.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office tells us the arrest of 24-year-old Carlos Ramirez-Chilel stemmed from an investigation into a report of a sexual assault that allegedly occurred at a Hull home earlier this month. After the investigation, deputies believe Ramirez-Chilel had sexual contact with a child victim.

Ramirez-Chilel has been charged with sexual abuse in the third degree and lascivious acts with a child, both class C felonies. If convicted, he could face ten years in prison on each count.

No court dates have yet been set in the case.

At last report, Ramirez-Chilel remained in the Sioux County jail on a $25,000 bond.
