Rock Rapids, Iowa — A Larchwood man was taken to the hospital after an accident near Rock Rapids early on Friday, November 17th.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that a few minutes before 1:00 a.m., 20-year-old Jose Richarz of Larchwood was driving a 2005 GMC pickup westbound on Highway 9, about five and a half miles east of Rock Rapids between Jackson and Jay avenues.
The report says that the Richarz pickup entered the left ditch, came back onto the road, and went off the road towards the right. The pickup then rolled and came to rest in the field.
The Lyon County Ambulance took Richarz to the Merrill Pioneer Hospital Avera in Rock Rapids.
The sheriff’s office tells us the accident remains under investigation.
