Hull Man Injured In Collision With Truck

Hull, Iowa — A Hull man was injured in a traffic crash Wednesday morning in Hull. 

According to authorities, the mishap took place around 5:10 Wednesday morning at the intersection of Highway 18 and Main Street in Hull. Deputies say a 2012 Freightliner delivery truck, driven by 73-year old Owen Dykshorn of Sioux Center, was eastbound on Highway 18, when a southbound 2005 Dodge Dakota pickup, driven by 25-year old Matthew De Wild of Hull, entered the intersection and the two vehicles collided.

Authorities say De Wild was taken to the Sioux Center Hospital by the Hull Ambulnace.

Damage to Dykshorn’s Freightliner are estimated at about $4-thousand, while De Wild’s pickup sustained an estimated $8-thousand in damage.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Hull Fire Department and Hull Ambulance.
