OC Man Charged With Burglary & Theft

Rock Valley, Iowa — An Orange City man faces felony and misdemeanor charges arising from an incident that reportedly occurred last month near Hull.

38-year-old Christian Lee Wunder, Jr. was arrested Thursday (October 3rd), and is jailed on charges of 3rd Degree Burglary, which is a Class D Felony, and 4th Degree Theft, which is a Serious Misdemeanor. Court records indicate that Wunder is accused of prying open the back door of a rural Rock Valley residence using a tire iron. Court records indicate that once inside the residence, Wunder stayed the weekend and allegedly stole several items, including six 1921 Morgan Silver Dollars, as well as men’s and women’s jewelry.

In addition, online jail records indicate Wunder is also charged with 5th Degree Criminal Mischief, Domestic Abuse Assault, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

According to online jail records, as of early Friday afternoon, Wunder was being held in the Sioux County Jail in lieu of a $7,500 bond.
