Paullina — An Orange City man has been arrested on a controlled substance charge after a traffic stop near Paullina.
According to a criminal complaint filed with the O’Brien County Clerk of Court’s Office by the county sheriff’s office, 26-year-old James Holcomb of Orange City is accused of the possession of methamphetamine. He was arrested last week.
In his statement, the deputy states that Holcomb allegedly had methamphetamine in his possession and around his seat in the vehicle.
Holcomb was charged with third or subsequent offense possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony. If convicted, Holcomb could face up to five years in prison.
He faces a preliminary hearing on the charges on Friday, May 19th.
Holcomb was released the same day he was arrested.
