Pair Transported After Early Sunday Morning Motorcycle Mishap

Lester, Iowa — Two people were injured early Sunday morning when the motorcycle they were riding crashed west of Lester.

Lyon County authorities say the mishap took place about 4:30 Sunday morning on 160th Street between Coolidge and Dipper Avenues. According to the report, 30-year-old Lucas Risseeuw of Lester was operating a 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle with his passenger, 25-year old Kayla Sharp of Harrisburg, South Dakota, eastbound on 160th Street when the motorcycle went out of control causing the bike to crash ejecting both riders.

Deputies say both Risseeuw and Sharp were transported to hospitals for treatment of injuries.

Lyon County authorities say the accident remains under investigation.
