Rock Valley, Iowa– A Sioux Falls man was taken to the hospital after a tire issue caused him to end up in the ditch near Rock Valley on Friday, September 29, 2023.
The Iowa State Patrol reports that at about 5:00 p.m., 49-year-old Chad Hogrefe of Sioux Falls was driving a 2017 Chevy van northbound on Elmwood Avenue (K30), two miles north of Rock Valley.
The report says that one of the front tires had a blowout, causing the van to leave the roadway and enter the east ditch.
The Rock Valley Ambulance took Hogrefe to Hegg Health Center Hospital.
Hogrefe’s Chevy van sustained $300 in damages.
