Rock Valley Man Injured in Single Vehicle Accident

Boyden, Iowa — A Rock Valley man was taken to the hospital after a single vehicle accident in Boyden on Tuesday.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 8:00 pm on Tuesday, 23-year-old Daniel Molenaar was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox southbound on Colfax Street in Boyden.

According to the report, Molenaar reported a medical emergency, which caused him to lose control of the Chevrolet, enter the east ditch, strike a street sign post and a creek embankment.

Molenaar was transported by the Boyden Ambulance to Sanford Sheldon Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

The Chevrolet received $8,000 in damage.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Boyden Fire Department and Boyden Ambulance.
