Hull, Iowa — A Rock Valley teen was taken to a hospital after an accident at the north junction of Highway 75 and 18 on Thursday, September 7th.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 8:35 a.m., 38-year-old David Miller of Rock Valley was driving a 2012 Ford F‐150 pickup eastbound on 310th Street, or Highway 18. He stopped for vehicles ahead of him waiting at the Highway 75 stop sign. They report that 19-year-old Jessica Koenen of Rock Valley was driving a 2005 Ford Escape eastbound on 310th Street behind Miller. They say that 19-year-old Brittany Rook of Rock Valley was driving a 2002 Dodge Ram pickup eastbound on 310th Street behind Koenen, and struck the Koenen Ford. The impact pushed the Koenen car forward, striking Miller’s pickup.
The Hull Ambulance took Rook to Sanford Sheldon Hospital.
The Miller pickup sustained about $100 in damage. The Koenen Ford sustained about $800 in damage. The Rook pickup sustained approximately $700 in damage.
Rook was cited on charges of following too closely and failure to have valid motor vehicle accident insurance.
