Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon woman was arrested following a domestic disturbance at a Sheldon apartment.
According to court records, 35-year-old Yamilka Pena Fernandez of Sheldon is accused of assaulting her boyfriend, Jorge Gainza, with a knife during an argument. Court records indicate that Gainza had injuries to his right leg, chest, and left wrist.
Pena Fernandez was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault with a Weapon, which is an aggravated misdemeanor. She is scheduled for a Preliminary Hearing on the charge on Tuesday, August 27th, according to online court records.
