Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon woman was injured Sunday evening around 7:00 when she lost control of an ATV she was riding.
According to the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office, 59-year old Linda Sue McAlpine of Sheldon was riding an ATV westbound in a private farm field, south of Sheldon, when she crossed some standing water in a low-lying area. Deputies say McAlpine lost control of her ATV, which lost traction and went sideways, flipping over, throwing McAlpine from the machine.
According to authorities, McAlpine was taken to the Sanford Sheldon Medical Center by the Sheldon Community Ambulance Team.
