Sioux Center Woman Taken To Hospital After Accident In Hull

Hull, Iowa — A Sioux Center woman was taken to the hospital after an accident on Friday, October 25th, in Hull.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 1:10 p.m., 54-year-old Dean Eichmann, of Rock Valley was driving a 2015 Peterbilt semi-tractor pulling a gravel trailer eastbound on Highway 18 near the Casey’s corner. They tell us 89-year-old Marilyn Rensink of Sioux Center was driving a 2015 Hyundai Elantra southbound on Division Street (K52). Rensink entered the intersection and the vehicles collided.

The Hull Ambulance took Rensink to Sioux Center Health.

The Eichmann Peterbilt sustained about $15,000 in damage. The Rensink Hyundai sustained approximately $10,000 in damage.

Rensink was cited on a charge of failure to obey a stop sign.

The sheriff’s office tells us the Hull Fire Department, Hull Ambulance Squad and the Iowa State Patrol assisted with the response to the accident.
