Ireton, Iowa — Sioux County authorities are seeking information on a hit-and-run crash that they say occurred Friday evening five miles north of Ireton on Eagle Avenue.
They tell us 72-year-old Robert Huyser of Hull was northbound on Eagle Avenue driving a 2011 Kenworth when he met a southbound vehicle that crossed the center of the road. The mirrors of the vehicles struck each other, and the collision forced the mirror to strike the driver’s window of the Kenworth and shatter the glass. Huyser reported minor injuries and declined medical attention.
Huyser’s Kenworth sustained about $2,000 damage. It is unknown what type of damage the other vehicle may have sustained.
