Rock Rapids, Iowa — A Sioux Falls man has been arrested on felony OWI and other charges after his vehicle ended up in the ditch near Rock Rapids.
According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, on Monday, a Lyon County deputy arrested 36-year-old Tyler Gerritsen of Sioux Falls, SD.
The sheriff’s office says Gerritsen was charged with Operating While Intoxicated, 3rd Offense, a class D Felony and Failure to Maintain Control, a simple misdemeanor.
According to the sheriff’s office, the arrest stemmed from a report of a vehicle in the ditch in the 3200 block of County Road A34, five miles south of Rock Rapids, and a mile east.
