Inwood Man Accused Of Threatening Woman And Baby With Knife

Inwood, Iowa — An Inwood man has been arrested on a felony charge after an incident in that community on Tuesday, July 7th.

Court documents filed by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office identify the suspect as 34-year-old Michale Lemon of Inwood. He is accused of threatening the victim and an 8-month-old child with a knife. Deputies arrested Lemon on Tuesday.

In his statement, the deputy says that in addition to threatening the victim and child, Lemon is accused of taking the victim’s phone and failing to comply with jail staff and deputies. We’re told he had to be forced into his cell.

Lemon was charged with threatened intimidation with a dangerous weapon, a class D felony. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison. He also faces misdemeanor charges of interference with official acts, child endangerment, domestic assault with intent, and obstruction of emergency communications.

He faces a preliminary hearing on Friday, July 17th, 2026.

At last report, Lemon remained in the Lyon County Jail in Rock Rapids in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
