Rock Rapids, Iowa — A Sioux Falls resident who was a passenger in a vehicle stopped in Lyon County faces felony drug charges.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that they arrested 23-year-old Kenneth Casazza of Luverne, Minnesota on Monday (October 1st) on a charge of operating while intoxicated (drugged), a serious misdemeanor.
But they also report that a passenger in the vehicle, 38-year-old Faren Earring of Sioux Falls, South Dakota was also arrested and was charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance and two counts of violation of a drug tax stamp, all class D felonies.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that they transported both Casazza and Earring to the Lyon County Jail.
Jail officials say Casazza was released after he posted $1,000 cash bond. They say Earring was released after he posted 10% of his $5,000 bond.
The Lyon County Sheriff Office Drug Recognition Expert and K9 Unit assisted in the case.
