UPDATE: Spirit Lake Man Wanted For Attempted Murder

Spirit Lake, Iowa — Spirit Lake Police say the victim in a stabbing incident Monday night is in good condition as of early Tuesday afternoon.

Spirit Lake Police were summoned to a Spirit Lake convenience store shortly before 11:00 pm Monday night to the report of a stabbing, where a female subject had been stabbed. Police say her attacker had fled from the store on foot before officers arrived, and a search for him came up empty.

Police identify their suspect as 43-year-old Teangelo Grice, who police say is a 5-foot 11-inch, 200 pound black man with brown eyes.

As of mid-day Tuesday, Grice had not yet been taken into custody, but police say the stabbing was NOT a random act of violence, and they have no reason to believe the general public is in any danger.
