Storm Lake, Iowa — A Storm Lake teenager has been charged following an assault/robbery incident early Monday morning.
According to the Storm Lake Police Department, the incident happened around 4:00 a.m. in the courtyard area of an apartment complex. The victim, a 23-year-old man, was assaulted, stripped of his clothes, and had cash taken from his wallet. The victim received serious injuries, including to the head. He was transferred by ambulance to the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center, and was later transferred to another medical facility. He was reported to be in critical condition.
Following an investigation, 17-year-old Madson Angawan of Storm Lake was arrested at 1334 Erie Street. He was charged with 2nd Degree Robbery, a class B felony; and Assault While Participating in a Felony and Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury, both class C felonies. Angawan was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a 45-thousand dollar bond.
