Two Injured In Crash West Of Hull

Hull, Iowa — Two people were taken to the hospital in the aftermath of a two-vehicle collision west of Hull Thursday afternoon.

According to a report filed by the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred shortly after 3:30 Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 75 and 320th Street, two miles west of Hull.

Deputies say a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse, driven by 42-year-old Bronwen Dean, of Sioux Center, was westbound on 320th Street, and stopped for the stop sign at Highway 75, the proceeded into the intersection, where it collided with a northbound 2019 Ford F-150 pickup driven by 63-year-old Wenda Horstman, also of Sioux Center.

Horstman and a passenger were transported by the Hull Ambulance to Sioux Center Health System for treatment of their injuries.

Dean’s SUV sustained approximately $7,500 in damage, while damage to Horstman’s pickup was estimated at $9,000.

Dean was reportedly cited for failure to yield from a stop sign.

The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the Hull Ambulance and Hull Fire Department.
