Lester, Iowa — Two people were taken to the hospital following a single-vehicle rollover crash northeast of Lester early Friday afternoon, June 30th.
According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, shortly after 1:20 Friday afternoon, deputies responded to a single-vehicle rollover at the intersection of 120th Street and Fig Avenue, about 5 miles northeast of Lester.
Deputies say a 2012 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Madison M. Miss, of Rock Rapids, was attempting to turn west onto 120th Street, when Miss lost control of the vehicle, which slid towards the north ditch. According to deputies, when the vehicle entered the ditch, it rolled onto its roof.
Miss and a passenger in the vehicle were reportedly transported by ambulance to Avera Hospital in Rock Rapids to be treated for their injuries.
The Impala was termed a total loss.
Assisting at the scene were Lester Fire & Rescue, and Lyon County Ambulance.
