Orange City, Iowa — The Orange City Police investigated an accident on Friday, July 17th in Orange City.
The Orange City Police Department reports that at about 11:22 am on Friday, 66-year-old Winova Van Regenmorter of Orange City was backing a 2013 Ford Edge out of a parking spot at 110 Central Avenue Southwest in Orange City. Twenty-two-year-old Emily Honken of Raymond Minnesota was driving a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero northbound on Central Avenue. According to the report, Van Regenmorter was attempting to back out of a parking space into the traveled portion of the roadway. Honken noticed a parking spot available on the left side of the roadway, then proceeded to make a left turn crossing the southbound lane to also park at 110 Central Avenue Southwest. Van Regenmorter then hit Honken.
The Ford received $1750 damage. The Oldsmobile received $1500 damage.
No injuries were reported.
