Spencer, Iowa — The northwest Iowa county fair that bills itself as the ‘World’s Greatest County Fair’ begins its run for 2019 this weekend.
The Clay County Fair begins Saturday with a full day of activities on tap around the fairgrounds. Jeremy Parsons is CEO of the Clay County Fair and Event Center, and he tells us about what’s in store for visitors on Day #1 of the 2019 Clay County Fair.
In fact, Parsons says you can catch a different free show somewhere on the fairgrounds every half hour. In addition to the entertainment, exhibits, and judging, he says there will be all kinds of things to eat at the 2019 Clay County Fair.
If amusement rides and games are more your speed, Parsons says the Clay County Fair Midway will be open all day Saturday, beginning at 10:00 am.
The 2019 Clay County Fair will run from this Saturday, September 7th through Sunday September 15th at the fairgrounds in Spencer.
