Absentee Ballots Can Now Be Requested For September School Board Elections

Northwest Iowa — With many contested races, and at least one bond issue on the ballot in the area, this year’s school elections are getting a lot of attention.  Absentee ballots for the September 12th election are now available from the County Auditor’s Office in your county.

O’Brien County Auditor Barb Rohwer says absentee ballots may be picked up at her office from 8:00 to 4:30, Monday through Friday. Rohwer talks about the procedure for obtaining an absentee ballot by mail for the upcoming school board elections.

Rohwer says that, as of Wednesday morning, the O’Brien County ballots have yet to be delivered, but they’ll be mailed out as soon as possible.

She talks about the deadline for returning your absentee ballot to the Auditor’s Office.
