Agreement For Coverage Of Archer Ambulance Territory One Step Closer

Archer, Iowa — An agreement to provide ambulance service to the Archer area is one step closer to being completed following action at Thursday night’s meeting of the Archer City Council.

Sheldon City Manager Sam Kooiker attended the Thursday night meeting to begin the process of getting a 28E Agreement in force between Archer and Sheldon. The final 28E Agreement reflects the ambulance coverage that was agreed on by officials from Archer, Sanborn, Primghar and Sheldon during their meeting as part of the Sheldon City Council meeting back on January 16th.

The agreement has ambulance teams from Sheldon, Sanborn and Primghar splitting up the Archer Ambulance District after the Archer Ambulance Team was disbanded.

After Archer’s approval of the 28E Agreement at Thursday’s meeting, Sheldon City Manager Sam Kooiker will bring it before the Sheldon Council when they meet this coming Wednesday, to get their final approval. Once the Sheldon Council signs off on the agreement it will go to Sanborn for action by their City Council, then finally to Primghar for their approval.
