Everly, Iowa — Two Everly teens have been found safe and sound in Cherokee after an Amber Alert was issued yesterday by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
They report that on Thursday, about 1:55 PM, they received authorization to enact an Amber Alert for two missing and believed endangered juveniles from Everly.
They say that fourteen local and state agencies collaborated to gather information as quickly as possible, leading to the location of the juveniles, unharmed in Cherokee County at approximately 3:20 PM.
The Sheriff’s Office says the investigation continues and criminal charges are pending upon completion. Both juveniles are currently being held for their safety.
The original Amber Alert identified one of the juveniles as an abductor and one as a victim, however the later information from the Sheriff’s Office does not make this distinction.
