Sheldon, Iowa — Nearly seven hundred electric users were without power for a time on Thursday.
David Caris, VP for Corporate Communications for MidAmerican Energy Company says that 689 customers were affected.
He says the outage happened when a tree crew was out cutting trees and a limb fell on a line in the 600 block of Fourth Avenue in Sheldon, about 12:55 PM.
He says the outage stretched north to 2917 McKinley Avenue, south to 1115 Fourth Avenue, east to 118 North Seventh Avenue, and west to 4530 300th Street.
Caris says the outage lasted for 31 minutes, until 1:26 PM.
