Applications Being Taken For 2022 Sioux County Community Foundation Grants

Sioux County, Iowa — Applications are being accepted until the middle of this month for grants from the Sioux County Community Foundation.

The deadline for the grants to be submitted is March 15th.

Officials with the Sioux County Community Foundation Advisory Board tell us that the board is charged with carefully reviewing grant proposals and recommending grants to be awarded. The advisory board makes grant recommendations based on county and community needs, and the proposing organization’s capacity to effectively enhance the quality of life in Sioux County.

They tell us that the purpose of the grant program is to respond to present and emerging needs within Sioux County by making grants in several areas, such as arts and culture; civic; education; environment; health; and human services.

Officials say grants will be made for charitable purposes to nonprofit organizations and units of local government that Serve Sioux County, and are tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Final determinations will be made by mid-May. They remind us that those who received a grant last year are ineligible this year.
