Archer, Iowa — A small town northwest Iowa post office is becoming a mecca for stamp collectors.
Richard Ludeke is Postmaster of the Archer Post Office, and he tells KIWA that he has been able to get several collector stamp series for the Archer Post Office.
Ludeke says he’s trying various things to get people involved in the Archer Community, including a special Veteran’s Day display.
He says he’s even working on getting a mailbox set up at the Archer Post Office for the Christmas season, so that kids can drop off their letters to Santa, and hopefully get a personalized reply from the jolly old elf.
Ludeke says he feels it’s important in small communities such as Archer for people to become involved in their community, and he says he’ll continue to look for ways to help make that happen through the Archer Post Office.
