Basketball Pride Scrimmage To Benefit ALS

basketballSheldon, Iowa — Once you have emerged from your Thanksgiving turkey-induced coma, the Sheldon High School Boys Basketball Team has a fun event you’ll want to watch.  The Orab Boys JV and Varsity teams will hold a scrimmage against Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Friday afternoon at Sheldon’s O-Rena.

Sheldon Head Basketball Coach Eric Maassen says the scrimmage will benefit a worthy cause.

Maassen says his team has partnered with a local business for this fundraiser event.

He says the event will begin with the JV scrimmage.

Raffle tickets are available for the 32 GB Apple iPad Air 2 that will be given away during halftime of the varsity scrimmage.  And more prizes will be available, as well.

Admission to the games will be a free will donation to the ALS Foundation.

The Pride Scrimmage between the Sheldon Orabs and Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union will happen Friday afternoon in the O-Rena at Sheldon High School.
