George, Iowa — The body of a George resident has been found in that town.
According to Lyon County Sheriff Stewart Vander Stoep, the body was found along a waterway in the victim’s backyard in the Lyon County community on Tuesday, September 22nd. Vander Stoep says no foul play is suspected.
While the sheriff’s office cannot comment on open investigations, Vander Stoep says it may have been a suicide, but the body has been sent to the University of Iowa State Hygienic Laboratory in Ankeny for an autopsy.
No further information is available, according to the Sheriff.
