Sheldon, Iowa — Some streets in the City of Sheldon will be undergoing chip sealing beginning this Wednesday, June 30th.
According to Sheldon Public Works Director Todd Uhl, the streets involved include:
5th Street from Normal College Avenue to 8th Avenue
8th Avenue from 5th Street to 6th Street
6th Street from 2nd Avenue (Business 60) to Washington Avenue
7th Street from 2nd Avenue to Washington Avenue
Uhl says the affected streets are being chip sealed, so they will not be closed to traffic, but he suggests avoiding the areas if at all possible, but DO NOT park on any of the listed streets during the construction period. Uhl says the streets need to be clear to complete the chip sealing process.
Uhl says work will begin this Wednesday morning at 7:00 and continue through Friday, July 2nd at 6:00 pm.
He says if you have any questions or concerns you should contact the Sheldon City Offices at 712-324-4651.
