Sheldon, Iowa — When the Sheldon City Council met Tuesday, they received the applications from six people who have been recommended to them by the Search Committee for the City Manager position. Mayor Katricia Meendering tells KIWA that one of the six people has asked to have their name taken off the list. She says they expect to begin interviews with the remaining five candidates next week. Meendering said that the interviews will be conducted by the Mayor, City Council members, a representative or representatives from the search committee and possibly some senior level City employees. The City Manager position opened up when Scott Wynja announced that he was resigning to accept the City Manager post in Sioux Center.
