Strong gusty winds across much of central Iowa in the late afternoon through the evening Wednesday, with gusts of 55-65 mph expected. Record breaking temperatures are also expected as highs reach the upper 50s north and in the low 70s south. Showers and thunderstorms are possible in the late afternoon through the evening.
There will be gradually warming temperatures through mid week, then a storm system will bring light rain, light snow, and gusty winds for Wednesday. It will then turn cooler for the end of the week.
