Sheldon, Iowa — Another Democrat Presidential candidate will be meeting with voters in Sheldon this week.
California billionaire Tom Steyer will be holding a meet & Greet at Cook’s Cafe in Sheldon this Friday morning (January 3rd) from 8:30 until 10:00 am, according to the Steyer campaign website.
Friday’s visit to Sheldon Friday morning is the closest Steyer will be coming to far northwest Iowa during this swing through the Hawkeye State. Steyer held an event in Onawa Thursday, and will hold another campaign event in New Hampton in northeast Iowa Saturday, with a stop in Marshalltown on Sunday.
Democrat Presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar was in the area last week, and we may see a few more candidates leading up to Iowa’s first-in-the-nation Presidential Caucus, which is scheduled for Monday, February 3rd.
